Relique

Where It All Began

Relique is a black and white series of symbols representing animals and plants existing on earth; with the appearance of larger scale. I wanted to embody their beauty through strange, metonymic, non-literal visuals, with special detail to their eyes and shape. Largely depicting aspects of flora and fauna, it is a homage to the biological way of life, as it exists in nature.

Although they are visualized as individual pieces, they are, in fact, part of a larger whole. They are imagined renditions of evolution, life, adaptation, presence and beauty.
